Abstract

Changing leadership strategies are becoming important in education. This research discusses effective change leadership strategies in an educational institution. The qualitative approach used in this study explores strategies implemented by leaders in the independent curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka), including transparent communication, employee empowerment, and collaboration. The subjects in this research were the principal and teachers of SD Negeri 010 Samarinda Seberang. The results show that leaders who create a clear vision and involve all parties in the change process can increase the level of acceptance and commitment to the change. Apart from that, support and motivation from leadership, and providing adequate training also contribute to the successful implementation of change. The data in this research was obtained through observation and unstructured interviews with the principal and several teachers at SD Negeri 010 Samarinda Seberang. This research concludes that adaptive and inclusive change leadership is essential to face future challenges and achieve sustainable success for an institution.
